Villa Blue Lagoon, located in St. Francois on the beautiful island of Guadeloupe is a unique home setting the mood for an amazing vacation! Sandrine and Dominique were at the house to welcome us when my husband and I and two other couples arrived to stay for a week, and they provided us with ti punch and breakfast for the following morning. We immediately began to relax and quickly get into the vacation mode! We have only positive comments about our stay. We loved the fact that five walls of the villa could be opened electronically to make for open air living. The breezes were fabulous! There was a sea view from the back patio of the villa. The patio was complete with comfortable lounge chairs and tables set beside a pristine swimming pool that we enjoyed every day. The yard of the villa was like a mini botanical garden with palm trees and tropical flowers. Everything was superbly manicured. A beautiful fountain and outdoor lighting completed the ambience. The Villa is located within a gated community so it is quite safe and secure. The driveway accommodated our two rental cars perfectly. The beds in all three bedrooms were quite comfortable and the rooms featured individual air conditioning units, which made sleeping perfect. The two bedrooms on the first floor shared a toilet. The kitchen was equipped with everything necessary to cook a gourmet meal, and an outdoor grill was also available for use. A washing machine allowed us to freshen up towels and clothing. In the living room, a big screen TV with multiple channels was available for viewing. One of the best restaurants on the island of Guadeloupe is located less than a mile away from the villa. Chef Christophe and his wife, Patricia, the owners of Ti Francine, provide outstanding selections on their menu. Definitely make reservations and go for dinner and tell them Diane sent you! There is a fabulous bakery, Aleonard, just a mile away at Crystal Beach. We believe it is the most exceptional bakery on Guadeloupe and not to be missed. There is also a small grocery store where you can pick up anything you need. The beaches were gorgeous, the people warm and welcoming, and the island was embracing. If you have time, drive to Trois Rivieres on Basse-Terre and take the morning ferry, Beatrix, to the island of Terre de Haut, about a 25-minute ride. We rented a scooter and enjoyed this picture postcard island, swimmig at Pain de Sucre Beach. Merci beaucouop, Sandrine et Dominique! Au top!
